The Journey Continues- One Year Later

This past Friday, November 12th, marked the one year anniversary of Maddy's leukemia diagnosis. It is hard to believe that ONE whole year has gone by. Looking back, it is also hard to believe all that our family has experienced in just one year. Obviously, we had many lows but we can honestly say that this past year has also been filled with much joy, hope, faith, kindness, and compassion! Maddy continues to do well with her treatments and we keep getting closer to that day when she will hopefully be able to put all of this behind her and never look back!

Our gratitude goes out to all of our family and friends who continue to support us throughout this journey...

  1. I really enjoyed watching all your slides. It is just a good reminder of what God has brought you through with the love and support of your family and friends and people who don't know you but have prayed for you. You look great, Maddy and I pray you will have a smooth road to complete recovery. Your smile is so sweet and I wish every child could understand how blessed they are to be able to come to school. I see it in your eyes and in the way you pay attention. I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving celebration and time off from studying:-) Love, Mrs. Hill

  2. Love the video Maddy, Russ, Dorothy and Julia! I know it's been a rough year for you ("pain, let me tell you about pain" - my favorite Maddy quote), but you have all had our thoughts and prayers every step of the way and will continue to have them with you!!

    Hugs and Kisses,

  4. Maddy-
Your mom told that there was a slideshow on your blog, but she didn't tell me it would make me cry! As soon as the music started I got teary eyed; but, I think they were tears of joy! God has brought you through so much, and He will continue to be with you in the future. We will continue to pray for you. You are loved dear one. (By the way- Do you like cheetohs?? I saw you eating some in one of your pictures. They are one of my favorite junk food snacks. We should have a Cheetoh party sometime!)

  6. What an awesome slideshow! I had so many favorites, it's hard to pick one, but I really liked seeing Maddy all ready to go to school this year.
What a journey! What a blessing!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and know that we are still praying for Maddy and her family.
