Cycle 4

Maddy was actually able to start Cycle 4 on time on Monday. We hope to finish up treatment and be able to get out of the hospital Wednesday afternoon in time to spend some time with family on the 4th of July. Her chemo treatment is going well, but Maddy is experiencing a lot of anxiety. She is worrying about everything! Her dad and I don't know how to help her. It is very frustrating and breaks our hearts to see her "beat herself up". We are praying that she can find some peace and comfort.

    Dear Maddy
    Well, look at you, on schedule and taking care of business. May you feel Jesus near and take comfort in His words, I will never leave you nor forsake you. Someone said there are 365 references in the Bible that say, "Do not fear", one for each day of the year. You and your family have been through a lot. May knowing others care for you and are praying for your every need to be met, help you get through each day. You are a winner, Maddy. We believe in you.

    Dear Maddy-

    Happy 4th of July!
    I sure hope you are out of the hospital and with all those people who love you so much! I am so proud of you Maddy- you are a brave warrior fighting this sickness every day and not backing down. Wow, I hope I can be as courageous as you when I grow up. :-) Speaking of bravery, have you seen the new movie "Brave"? I am hoping to see it soon. Take care- we are praying for you.

    Hey Miss Maddy Mushroom,

    Glad to hear you got your treatment started on time! That just makes your last ones even closer and that's the goal to get them done! You are so brave kiddo and have had a lot to deal with, and what a trooper you are! Call me sometime if you want to "chat" again and listen to the frogs croak!! Hang in there kiddo!

    Dear Mushroom,
    Hope you are feeling good! Did you get to see some fireworks? I'm in Texas. It has been hotter in Ohio than here. Your mom's post sounds like you need someone to make you giggle. You need Big doses of Daisy and Petunia to make you laugh. Maybe we need a game night or another movie night! You need to think of something fun for all of us to do!
