Maddy completed the last chemo treatment in the Intensification II phase last Thursday. Once her blood counts stabilize from this treatment, she will officially start the Maintenance phase for a second time. Because she relapsed in February 2011 in her spinal fluid, she will be getting cranial radiation for 10 days at the start of the Maintenance phase. This is tentatively scheduled to start next Monday- she will be going to the clinic for bloodwork on Friday to determine where she is at.
We are just so glad to be back at this stage and hopefully will have no more set backs!

I am so, so happy to read your news. Halleluia for school, and starting LTM. I really hope that this is the start of more normal and happy times for Maddy and you all. And I hope that Maddy has a great first day at school.

ReplyDeleteHope your first day of 4th grade is as terrific as you!! So happy for you to get to return to school with your teachers and friends and physically be in the classroom - not only via Skype from home only part of the day! So happy for you!! (Just don't get in trouble with that principle! I've heard stories! LOL!)
I'm assuming your mom will post some pictures for us of you and Julia?? I text Julia two first day of school pictures of Tyler for her to share w/ you and your folks. Champ was in one, I think he'll miss Ty like Lizzy will be missing you!
