Big Sis

Hi- it's Julia. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for everything you are doing for my family. Also, I would like to thank my friends for how helpful they have been. It is nice to have people to talk to when I can' t talk to my parents. Maddy loves all the presents and cards that people give her. It helps to know people care about her. Thats all for now.

Thanks again,
Julia

P.S.- Liam- Maddy Patty is just a nickname we have for Maddy. Her middle name is actually Claire. : )

  1. Dear Julia,
I am sure you are a terrific big sister! I'm sure Maddy loves have you hanging around. I'm sure you will do your very best to help her! By the way I put an extra scarecrow in her Maddy box so you can paint too, if you want to --- or just give it to a cousin or friend. Hope you are planning to cheer for Ohio State this weekend! Hang in there! Love, Miss Heckel

  2. Julia and Maddy-
I've got some Thanksgiving jokes for you two.
1)What always comes at the end of Thanksgiving?
    ..............the letter "g"!
2)What do teddy bears have in common with Thanksgiving turkeys?
    ............they both have stuffing!
    3) What's the sleepiest thing at the Thanksgiving table?
    ............the NAP-kins!
    4) When a turkey picks his nose, what comes out?
    .............a gobbler goober!
I'm going to try telling the napkin joke to my kindergarten class tomorrow- I sure hope they get it! I'll be thinking of you guys tomorrow and I'll be praying that your visit at St. V's goes quickly Maddy! Take good care of your mom- I hope you don't have to spend a lot of time explaining those jokes to her!! :-) Love, Mrs. Warner

  3. Julia~

What a brave big sister you have been!! You certainly are a blessing to Maddy and your mom and dad. I have an older sister, and I have always looked up to her and so enjoy being around her. She made me feel loved and safe as a little sister, and she is one of my best friends as an adult. I'm sure Maddy feels the same way about you.
Last year at this time, you were getting ready for your last parent teacher conference as an elementary student. My how time flies! Take care!

  4. Dear Julia,

I am one of Maddy's friend's mothers. My daughter Moriah is in 7th grade at AMS. Last year our son was very sick and in the hospital for awhile. it was hard for Moriah that her brother was sick and that we were all focused on helping Isaac get better. If you ever want to talk to another big sister who has had to deal with a sick sibling, I am sure Moriah would be glad to talk to you! Just let me know or ask your Mom to let me know. Know that we pray for your WHOLE family!

  5. Hi Julia,
You are such an amazing big sister! It has to be hard to see Maddy going through so much. Just remember that we're all here for you at AMS. We'll keep giving our "Minute to Maddy" each day. That adds up to a lot of minutes of love and prayers each day.
It's good to see you hang out with your friends. I can tell they are really helping you each day. I'm praying everyday for each of your family members.
Sorry it took me so long to get this blog thing figured out. I've been reading it everyday even though you've been keeping me informed. Have a great weekend. Get lots of rest and don't forget to bring your $1 and snacks for the movie on Monday!
