November 29, 2009

We're home! The doctors discharged Maddy around 8 PM on Saturday. Her color was better after the blood transfusion and the CT scan did not show any serious issues with Maddy's stomach. We just have to aggressively try to get things "moving" in the right direction- what goes in must come out!

Right now, her blood counts are down as to be expected due to the treatment. Her immune system is VERY low, so we have to be extra careful about germs. We are still waiting on the results of the latest bone marrow test.

  1. Hey Maddy!

I am so glad you got to come home last night! I am sure you would much rather be at home than in Toledo. Now if you feel like it you can Skype into your classroom this week and see what Miss Heckel and the kids are up to. Remember that if they are doing something boring you can just turn them off!! (Don't tell Miss Heckel I told you that though!) Rest up and have a good week. I loved the pictures with you and your baby cousin! He is a sweetie and of course you are too!

Be good and hope you are feeling lots better today.

    Love you,
    Mrs. Buehrer

  2. Hey Maddy, This is Emily Hines. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I hope you didn't eat too much turkey. I was with my cousins too! I hope your tummy starts to feel better. I hope to see you on the camera next week at school. I pray every night for you and your family. Maybe I'll see you on camera at school tomorrow.

P.S. I love your new hair cut! It looks great!

    Love, Emily

  3. Maddy,

I just read Mrs. Buehrer's message. She thinks she is so funny! Our class would never be boring, right? You better not just turn us off if we are skyping. I don't know if skyping is a real word or not; I just made it up!! I am soooooooooooo glad you are in Archbold and not in Toledo. Tomorrow we are going to make a tree ornament for the big Christmas tree in the hall. I'll send the pieces with your Mom and if you make one we'll put it on the school tree for you!

I have a lot of Christmas picture books and I'll send some home for you and Dad to read while Mom is at school.

I hope you had a good day today! Did your tummy quit hurting? I sure do hope so.

    I'll 'talk' to you later!

    Love,
    Miss Heckel

  5. Maddy~

We are so happy that you are home now! We were out of town for Thanksgiving, and when we checked your page---we were so sad to hear you weren't feeling well.

We are putting up the Christmas tree right now. Is your tree up, yet?

You get plenty of sleep, sweetie. Also---I am going to be Miss Heckel's sub next Wednesday, 12/9---I soooo hope I get to see you on the computer!

    Thinking of you!

  6. Dear Maddy,
I was so sorry to hear that you had to stay at the hospital! I am so glad you are home again! How is your tummy feeling? Does your family decorate much for Christmas! I hope that you are up to seeing the Festival of Lights in the park. You could be all warm and toasty in your car! Maybe you could have a special treat while you are driving through? I hope that you are doing better today. Know that our family prays for you every day!

  7. Hi Lambert family!

I want to give you a couple Bible verses to hold on to this week. They are from Psalms. 55:22 - Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. 56:3 - When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

Know that God loves you! He will get you through this situation the enemy intends for evil.

  8. Hi Lamberts

So glad to hear Maddy is back home. We know that must make all of you feel much better. This is a Bible Verse I like a lot particularly when I am feeling sad or down: "God will let you laugh again: You'll raise the roof with shouts of joy." We hope you got the book Cory brought in for you... my friend prints books for kids. Hope this week is full of healing and laughter for you.

  9. Hi Maddy
I hope you hade a good Thanksgiving dinner. We played bingo. I bingoed and won a big fat white tie but I traded it for a pearl necklace. Did you play any fun games? I'm glad you are home from the hospital and I hope your belly feels better soon. I hope to see you on the skype soon.
    Love
    Megan :)
