First Day Home

Just a quick update on our first day home. Maddy was extremely tired today and she had a tummy ache all day. However, we got her blood pressure checked and it was down! : ) The rest of the family received flu shots today to try to prevent us from bringing home any germs. Tomorrow, we can rest. Thursday, Maddy needs blood work done and then on Friday, we head back to St. V's for another spinal tap and blood marrow test. YUCK!

  1. Dear Dorothy and Russ,
Hope you can shut your weary eyes for a few hours and get some much needed sleep. Maddy is so lucky to have 2 gret loving and caring parents. Everyone knows you are going to do all you can for Maddy. I hope you can go to bed each night with a sense of peace and tranquility so you can gain strength for the next day and all that comes with it. Today we showed the video from St. V's to the class. We invited parents so they could talk better with their kdis when they got home. We invited parents to come and watch the video too, and there were 12 here. The time was a bit emotional, everyone wants to make all of this go away for all of you! The kids do have questions and you can tell they genuinely care about Maddy. The kids say her name multiple times a day! We will keep her connected to us. Love, Cindy

  2. Dear Lamberts,
We are praying for Maddy. Eli is quite concerned about Maddy and also Mrs. Lambert. I heard a song today that made me think of your situation, "when the world tells you that you can't, your faith tells you that you can!" With God's help you can do anything!
May you feel the love and support all around you, Joe, Kim, Eli, Ethan, Emily Wyse

  8. Russ & Dorothy

Just wanted to let you know Maddy & your entire family are in our prayers! I have not been able to get her or you guys out of my mind since I heard last Friday. Scarey how life changes in a matter of minutes, but Thank God your Dr. did the blood work & they've caught it early. I'm sure you have a very long road ahead of you & it's going to be hard to watch Maddy going through all of this, but remember to keep strong in your faith! She has lots of people praying for her.

If there is anything at all we can do, please let us know.

    In our prayers!

  12. Lambert Family~

Mason was just doing his church homework, and it was all about Jesus facing difficult times and going to Gethsamane to pray. On the back of his hw sheet, it read:

When you go through hard times, all you have to do is ASK.
ASK God to surround you with his prescence.
ASK God to protect you heart and mind from being overwhelmed.
ASK God to give you HIS strength to help you through the tough times.

We are all ASKING God often to help you through this time! Thinking of you all often,

    Shelly Conway

Just want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We do not always understand why God allows things like this to happen, but we do know that He loves us dearly, we are His children. We just read a library book by Patricia Polacco called Lemonade Club. It is a great book about making lemonade out of the lemons that we get in life.... (it also is about leukemia).. based on a true story. When the timing is right, take a look at it. I hope it will be an encouragement to all of you!
