Coming Home

Whenever Maddy was in the hospital, she always wanted to go home sooner rather than later.  We would always tell the doctors that we had "places to go and people to see".  Maddy would flash her smile and promise to rest, drink, eat, etc. and the doctors would normally give in.

We think maybe Maddy is just waiting to go home now, so with the help of Hospice, we are going to bring her home today.

  9. Lamberts,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We went to clinic today and all I wanted to do was come to the floor and give you all a hug but the girls said that it probably wasn't a good idea today. So, instead, we went to the car and said a prayer for Maddy to be comfortable and for God's strength to be with you all. We love you and are forever grateful for God putting you in our path. Peace be with you all.

  35. As the mommy of a little girl that had ALL, I can only offer my love and hope that that brings you some sort of peace. By God's grace, my daughter survived, and is the same age as you precious daughter. I worked for hospice for 12 years, and took care of many small children who got to make their trip to heaven. I believe in angels, the children taught me this. I know this is a difficult, heart wrenching time, but in a book I once read, a quote I remember is...."I am sorry for your temporary separation". You will one day be with your daughter again, after she goes to heaven. Angels surround her, you just can't see them. When the time is near, tell her to run to them, and they will catch her with wide open arms. This I learned from a dear little boy that passed from cancer. I witnessed the passing myself, and it brought great peace to me. On a personal note, I am truly sorry that this cancer was part of your daughter's life, but I know that many memories have been made, and those, will never be taken. God Bless.

    Signed, Shannon

  59. Dear Dorothy, Russ and Family,
    ,
Maddy is a very special young lady. I feel so blessed to have her as an important part of my life; she will always be an important part of me. I can't stop thinking about Maddy and her parents and sister; her grandparents; her aunts and uncles, cousins and her friends. I will always love her smile, her giggle, and her teasing. Right now, to be honest, I am just down right angry that God has not yet given Maddy the miracles she seems to need. I don't understand His thinking - I can't figure out why he doesn't intervene. However I do know that He will be with Maddy and her family and friends forever! God will never ever forsake you. I pray constantly for peace that passes all understanding! Please ask me for whatever you need and I will be honored to help. I am just around the corner.

    Loads of Love, Cindy
