Hi! It's Maddy. I just wanted to show off my new hair cut. I got tired of Mom having to follow me around with a lint brush because my hair was falling out. We had Christmas on Saturday with Nanny and Pop-pop Barnard. I asked my Aunt Debbie if she would just shave what was left of my hair off. Mom and Dad cried a little, but in the end we were all laughing. My Pop-pop shaved his head too so we could be twins. My head is prettier than his though! : )

ReplyDeleteI think your new look is soooooooooo cute! You are right! Your head is prettier than Grandpa Pop-pop's. But be sure to tell he doesn't look bad either! What is important is your smile and your positive attitude. Your smile is contagious and makes me smile too.
Maddy, honey, one time a long time ago I had leukemia too. YES, I lost my hair ---- every bit of it and it did grow back. Your's will too someday! Guess what! My new hair was straighter and a little bit darker than my old hair. I wonder what your new hair will be like. I'm sure it will be cute and you will like it!
I hope we get to see you in the morning on Skype. Tell your Dad to help you call us at 8:45. We'll be ready!

ReplyDeleteI think you have a great looking head and yes it is prettier than your grandpas! You are beautiful and I love your super smile! That is neat that your can be twins with your grandpa. I am glad you got to have Christmas with your grandparents and Aunt Debbie. Did you get to see your new baby cousin again?
Hope to see you on skype again this week. I like to sneek into your classroom when you are on the computer with your friends and watch you doing your work. You are doing a super job! Keep up the great job! Maybe next time I will jump in front of the camera like your friends do sometimes so I can wave at you.

ReplyDeleteI know that Erin missed seeing you on Skype this am. I hope you are feeling better tonight! I think you have a super new DO!!! OUr friend, Mr Blankenship has that same hairstyle. He wears a hat LOTS of the time in the winter. He says his head gets cold! You will have to start collecting fun hats, Maddy! I will be on the lookout for a good one! Erin is snuggling with me after dinner. She sends her love. We are all praying for you and for your body to fight whatever is causing that fever!
