Home Sweet Home

Just a quick note to let everyone that we are home! Maddy gets a week off of treatments and taking pills. We will meet with the doctors next week to see where the next step in this journey will take us.

Another reminder of how we often take the simplest things for granted when they are no longer so simple- I wanted to cry when I went to the basement to find Julia and Maddy playing Barbies this afternoon once we all got home. This is the first time in 29 days that we have all been home together AND Maddy has felt good enough to go to the basement to play!!

  5. Glad you're home! That is wonderful news. I just bought a Wedding Barbie for a Christmas present for my great-niece- she is BEAUTIFUL! I hope you and Julia had fun with the Barbies- don't forget to pick up all their little shoes when you put them away - they hurt when you step on them! :-) Take care and enjoy each other's company.

Maybe you got to play with your Barbie dolls somemore and maybe you felt like playing with some of your new stuff that you haven't felt like playing with lately. So glad your tummy is feeling some better. Have a great week. Maybe we'll get to see you on skype this week. I know your class can't wait!

  10. Maddy, we are so happy you are home!:) Delaney finally got her second tooth out last night, a tooth that really needed to come out because the grown-up tooth was already in. It was a whole family affair...Daddy had the floss out, Logan played the "Jaws" theme on the piano for dramatic effect and Delaney screamed at the top of her lungs even before we tried to "help" her. The rest of the family was all there giving advice on the best way to remove the tooth. You should have heard some of the silly ideas! In the end it was Delaney who got it out! She was so happy and this morning she found that the Tooth Fairy had stopped by.:)

I hope you have a good day! HUGS AND PRAYERS.

    Mrs. Garrow
