December 2, 2009

Today was a good day! Maddy's fever broke last night and she felt better today. She actually stayed awake long enough to read a book, watch a little TV, and beat her Dad at Uno! The doctors have been watching all of her cultures and nothing seems to be growing yet. They will continue to watch them over the next couple of days. Whatever was causing her fever must be responding to the general antibiotics she has been getting. If her fever stays away and nothing "grows", she should be able to come home on Friday after her chemo treatment with some antibiotics.

Thank you to everyone for all the extra prayers this week!

  1. Hi Honey,
I am so glad your fever went down! We changed seats today and you are now part of the yellow group. Last month the Red Table Group won so they get to eat in the room someday soon. We decided to wait until you get home. Since you were in the Red Group during November, the group wants to skype you for a little bit. Hope you have fun with most of the things we sent you in the Maddy Box. You do NOT have to do all the homework at once! We miss you and think about you often! We will all keep praying for you! We miss you!!!!!!! Love, Miss Heckel

  2. Dorothy & Russ,
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you night and day. I could only begin to imagine how the two of you are feeling. Be there for one another and be each other's rock!

    Julia,
If you need anything while at school, let someone know and they will call me over. I am usually in the district on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

    Maddy,
I hope you did not make your dad cry when you beat him in UNO!

I hope all of you have a peaceful night.

  3. Hey Maddy,

I am very glad to hear you beat your dad at Uno! Way to go. Maybe you can beat him again today. If he gets too cranky when he loses all the time, maybe you can let him win one game!

So glad you are feeling better! That is great news. Hang in there and you'll be able to come home soon!

    Love you,
    Mrs. Buehrer

  7. Hi Maddy
I glad your fever broke your Mom came in our room and said you get to come home today. :)

I really liked seeing you on the video you sent us we watched it 4 or 5 times today. Your gingerbread house is cool.

When you get all better maybe we can play a game of Uno together.

Do you have your Christmas tree up? My Mom hid a pickle ornament on the tree for us to find and my brother found it both times. No fair!

I sit at the green table now with Delaney Adrianna Josh Trey.

Be brave tomorrow for your test my whole family will be praying for you.
