Christmas 2009

Maddy continued to feel well this week with the exception of a few headaches, so we took advantage of this to make the most of the Christmas holiday. We went to the Christmas lights at the Toledo Zoo on Wednesday evening. Being outside, Maddy was able to do this. Maddy had her "procedure" as she calls it on Thursday. All went well. We were then able to go to Grandma and Grandpa Lambert's for a few hours on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, the girls had us up at 5 AM to open presents. They were excited to get a Wii from Santa. Maddy also got her scooter and Coo-coo clock that she asked for from Santa. We are all enjoying our time home together!

  1. It sounds like the Lamberts had a very Merry Christmas! Love the bow hat, Maddy! I bet the lights at the zoo were beautiful! I'm so glad you got to go see them! A Coo-Coo Clock from the North Pole?? How cool is that?!! Have fun playing Wii. Did you get some cool games? Make sure your dad shares!

We continue to pray for peaceful times your family can spend together.

  2. Great pictures Maddy! That scooter looks really cool! Maybe you can have your parents move the furniture out in the garage so you have more room to ride in the house! On second thought maybe your mom won't like that idea. Sorry Dorothy!

Glad you got to go to the zoo and see the lights and enjoy Christmas. You and Julia have fun with the Wii. I like the tennis game and bowling the best!

    Thanks for the update DL!

    Love you Maddy,

  3. Hi Maddy,
I was so excited to go christmas caroling at your house. I was so excited to see you. I love being one of your guardian angels. I pray for you and your family every night. My sister and I got a Wii for Christmas too! My favorite games are boxing, bowling and golf. I went to the lights at the zoo on Tuesday. It was cold! My sister Brooke says to tell you and Julia hi and she is praying for you and your family too! I am glad Santa brought you what you wanted for Christmas. I like your new hat Maddy it is cool! I hope you keep feeling good. Love, Emily

  4. Hi Maddy!
I love the pictures! Looks like you had a fun Christmas! Does your cuckoo clock really 'cuckoo' every hour? That is a cool gift from Santa. The blog update sounds and looks like you got a lot of terrific things this year. I'm certain that your whole family will have fun playing with the Wii. I hope your Mom and Dad let you and Julia have some turns. Enjoy all your other new things to play with! But I do suggest you be careful in the house with that new scooter! Don't leave too many marks or 'dings' in the woodwork or the furniture! I don't want you to get in trouble.

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling well and having some fun time with your family! This week will go fast; it won't be long and we will be skyping again! Tell your Mom to keep us updated. I think about you many, many times a day. One of my prayers this Christmas is that you and your family find Peace, Joy and Love in the Birth of Baby Jesus! God is good all the the time; all the time God is good!

    Loads and Loads of Love,
    Miss Heckel

  5. Maddy-
I'm so glad you got that cuckoo clock for Christmas- way cool. I've been looking at the pictures of you from the last couple of weeks and it so evident that you are loved and prayed for- never forget it. Your hats, motto, family and angels are inspiring to ME! I'm glad you had some fun times over Christmas. Take care and I'll be praying for you. (Happy New Year!)

  7. Hi Maddy,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Did you stay up and watch the ball drop last night? I hope you threw some confetti all over the house for Mom and Dad to sweep up! I sure hope you are having a fun day today! Is your cuckoo clock cuckooing every hour? Who plays the Wii the most? You? Julia? Or Mom and Dad? I bet you have to fight Mom and Dad for a turn! :)

I'm praying everything went all right at St. V's yesterday.

Vacation is always fun and I can't harddly believe it is almost over. :( Monday we will be back in school already! I hope we can skype.

    Love you honey,
    Miss Heckel
