Home Again

Maddy's fever stayed away, nothing grew on the cultures, and her blood counts went up, so the doctor asked Maddy if she wanted to come home today and just come back to the clinic for her chemo treatment tomorrow. Of course she said "yes"! It is so nice to have all of our family under one roof again. If all goes well, we should have a quick trip to the clinic tomorrow and be back home by tomorrow afternoon.

God is good all the time, all the time God is good!

  4. Good Morning, Lamberts! We will be Christmas baking at our house today. We hope that in the midst of all the chaos of a seriously ill child, you can find some time for your family Christmas traditions! Something like this certainly can change your priorities! We are praying and praying.

  5. Hi Maddy,

This is Kiera Gensler. I am in 1st grade too, but I am in Miss Brubaker's class. I'm glad you got to go home and that you are feeling better. I made you an angel ornament for your Christmas tree and put it in the Maddy box at school, so hopefully you will get it soon. I really hope that you get better soon. I like the bracelets that we got at school to wear to remind us of you and I wear it every day. We will keep praying for you every day.

    Love,
    Your Friend Kiera

  7. Dear Madison,

I'm still missing you like crazy! I hope you are feeling well today. I hate that you are sick. :o(

I really love my Maddy bracelet. My Momma tried to put it on but it didn't fit. Haha She wants one too. ;o)

Guess what happen to us this evening? We went to the Whitehouse Christmas Tree Farm and bought ourselves a Christmas tree. But on the way home . . . WE LOST IT! My Daddy had to turn around and find it. Luckily, we did. My Momma says she loves a good adventure ... but this one made her sick to her stomach! Haha

    Love,

    Maggie Henry

P.S. My Momma loves this Bible scripture. ;o)

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Psalm 84:11 (NIV)

  8. Maddy,
Glad to hear your home! I'm praying every day for you and your family. I just heard we might get some snow this week- I would love that, would you? Get some rest and by the way, my 21 year old son wants to wear my Maddy bracelet, do you think I should let him? I don't!

  9. Hi Maddy~

So glad your fever is gone and you are home!! Today we had Molly's family birthday party. I can't believe she is turning 10 years old!!! She actually really doesn't turn 10 until Monday at 5:20 pm, but we celebrated today with some family and close family friends. A lot of the us here wore your bracelet---Jack (Mrs. Hurst's 4 year old) and Mason said that they are going to wear your MADDY bracelet for their whole life. :) I even have a MADDY bracelet!!! Mrs. Bernath saved one for me, and I was so happy to have one---
    I haven't taken it off.
We think of you so often, sweetie! Have a good rest of the weekend. I might see you on SKYPE on Wed. when I sub for Miss Heckel???

Praying for you and your family always,

    Mrs. Conway

  10. Hi Honey,
I love my lime green MADDY bracelet. The little hearts remind me of what a special girl you are! Just like Mrs. Conway, I haven't taken mine off yet. Each one of the kids in our class got one and they were all very excited.

I'm going to get everything all set up so hopefully we can do some skyping on Monday and Tuesday. Then if it works out Mrs. Conway wants to do some on Wednesday. I'll only be gone 1 day. I have an all day meeting about teaching reading and writing. I'd rather be teaching and working with the kids in our class.

I have been doing some decorating at home today. I think I have too many snowmen. My house is such a mess tonight. I'll have to finish and clean it up tomorrow.

My throat is almost cleared up and only hurts a little so I think I am getting better. Hopefully it won't be long and then I can visit you for a few minutes.

Maddy, I miss you! I pray for you often. Remember "God is GOOD all the time, all the time God is GOOD!

    I love you! Miss Heckel
